APTA Washington will be hosting a free CEU webinar on Long Covid this March. While COVID 19 has diminished over recent years, many people who were impacted by COVID still have lingering post-viral symptoms, known as Long-Covid. As the prevalence of Long COVID continues to rise, there is an urgent need for updated knowledge, collaborative care strategies, and shared decision-making between healthcare clinicians and patients. This presentation is designed to bridge gaps between clinicians, researchers, and patients to address the complex and evolving needs of individuals with Long COVID.

Objectives:
  • Understand emerging research in Long COVID care.
  • Verbalize the role of physical therapy in the collaborative care model for Long COVID.
  • Describe tools to help patients understand and manage their condition.
Course taught by Dr. Janna Friedly. Dr. Janna Friedly is the founder of the University of Washington Medicine’s Long COVID clinic and the Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. The Post-COVID Rehabilitation and Recovery Clinic at Harborview Medical Center has received a $5 million grant to help members of underserved communities who are battling long COVID.
