Jeffery "Jeff" Scott Jr PT, DPT, GCS

Jeff earned his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Elon University in 2014 and received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Science with a minor in Bioengineering from Clemson University in 2011. Jeff has practiced in the home health setting in the Seattle area his entire career and is currently working with EvergreenHealth Home Health. He is a member of the King County Fall Prevention Coalition, Senior Fall Prevention Initiative, and the Washington State Fall Prevention Coalition. Jeff is a board-certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist and received his certification in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. He is passionate about geriatrics, technology, and fall prevention in the Seattle and Washington state areas. Jeff also enjoys spending time with his wife, cycling, hiking, backpacking, and kayaking.
Annelies Smith, PT, DPT, GCS
Vice-President
Annelies Smith, PT, DPT, is a board certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 2010, returning to graduate school after many years as a family manager. In a previous lifetime, she received a BA Degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, where she had the distinction of being the 1982 Stanford Tree. Annelies began her PT career in the skilled nursing setting, but soon found her calling as a Home Health clinician, with a special interest in balance and fall prevention, and is a member of the King County and Washington State Fall Prevention Coalitions. In addition to her passion for keeping her Geriatric patients on their feet, Annelies is an avid reader, a tenacious tennis player, and a devoted Nana to her twin grandsons.
Tim Pazier, PT, MPT, GCS, CEEAA

Tim Pazier has been a PT for over 23 years, graduating from Univ of Puget Sound in 2000. Over the years he has worked in acute care, inpatient rehab, and outpatient hospital clinics. Tim started Sound Balance Solutions Physical Therapy in 2021 as a house-call outpatient clinic, seeing clients in their homes primarily on the east side of Seattle. His clinical focus is on all things vestibular, neurological rehab, fall prevention, and chronic medical conditions related to postexertional malaise/post-exertional symptom exacerbation (PEM/PESE). He achieved board certification in Geriatric PT in 2018, and vestibular competency (APTA/Herdman/Emory) in 2014. Completed CEEAA coursework in 2015. Currently, Tim is in a year-long mentorship with Todd Davenport focusing on PEM/PESE (ME/CFS, long COVID, etc).
Tim is excited to serve on the board of the geriatrics SIG in WA as secretary and help promote all things geriatrics!

Brittany Van Hal, PT, DPT

Brittany Van Hal received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Elon University in 2013, after her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Calvin College in 2009. She has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics but has recently transitioned to home health in Seattle with EvergreenHealth. She has been a GSIG member since 2018 and is excited to serve the community and profession through this position. She enjoys staying active (especially outdoors in the PNW), traveling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
